INTRODUCING MACGYVER

You know him as Dada or Hubby on the blog. For some time I have been anxious to introduce him on a more personal level. He has finally given me the ok, so........I proudly introduce you to MacGyver! He won't brag on himself, so I will!

He was lovingly given this nickname over 10 years ago by my sister after an almost insurrmountable task.......

to pack up all her belongings and move them across the county......

in a Honda Prelude! Needless to say we were all pretty impressed!

If you think you are a good packer, you haven't seen anything. If you think a job can't be done, you haven't met MacGyver. If you think it cannot be fixed, you haven't challenged MacGyver. If you think you don't have the right tools for a job, you haven't asked MacGyver.

Here is the description of MacGyver off Wikipedia-it fits MacGyver to a T, no doubt:

'The story arc of MacGyver follows the intelligent, optimistic,
laid-back, resourceful secret agent Angus MacGyver'

My husband is the most resourceful, creative, inventive and talented man. He can work on cars, fix electrical items, install or repair most any appliance on earth, take things apart and zip them right back together, get things to work that would seem impossible to others, create tools and/or gadgets as needed, build things from scratch, etc. I kid you not. We can be caught in a situation where things seem grim and out of resources, but MacGyver steps in and saves the day. He makes it look like a piece of cake! And he is artistic to top it off! The kids love to do school projects with Dada, because he has so many cool ideas! They even note his MacGyver skills. One day they asked me to fix something. I tried to no avail. One of them finally came over, grabbed the item and replied to his brothers, "Well at least Dada will be able to fix it!"

It is quite exciting to be married to MacGyver! When things break, I really don't have to get stressed out. Not to mention the money he saves us with how handy he is! The other really cool thing is that the older boys, especially Smoke Bomb, have expressed the same tendancies as their Dad. They are always asking to take things apart to see how they work and if MacGyver is working on a job, little hands and feet are sure to lend him a hand! What a man! I really appreicate your skills MacGyver!
